What Is This Blog All About?

Hi! I'm Kayla & my goal in life is to kick anxiety's ass.

In 2013 I founded "Wake Up Laughing", which is designed to provide positivity, accountability and support to help you wake up laughing every single day. 

I have dealt with a sometimes debilitating combination of depression and anxiety for most of my adolescent and adult life. Now in my mid-twenties, although my daily symptoms have mostly subsided due to my diligent work on myself, I now want to help others do the same.

My goal is to remove the stigma from depression and anxiety, while providing insights into combining all aspects to life in order to help individuals become the best versions of themselves. 

Although this blog is about my personal journey, I feel that I am very relatable and I like to share many things with my readers. Just some of the topics I cover are: yoga, books, cosmetics, writing, art projects, life rants, gluten-free/vegan recipes, ideas, reviews, work outs, and much more. I basically just write what I feel is right for me and for my readers.
